Our production, research and development

We have been working on a new production plant in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a project that reflects the company's commitment to making responsible choices towards people and the planet and that is revolutionary in its content of sustainable innovation in process solutions, raw materials and social practices.

The complete verticalization of the production chain will allow a level of monitoring and transparency on all production steps never before applied in the industry. Not only use of energy from renewable sources and maximum efficiency in resource consumption, but containment of all production waste as well as new extrusion systems that will maximise the quality, palatability and sustainability of our kibble.

Local businesses and ethical supply chains are favoured in the selection of suppliers to support local communities. Working conditions respect the highest standards of safety, inclusion and well-being for employees. The products we produce follow eco-design criteria, using recyclable packaging and sustainable materials.

The plant represents Arcaplanet’s concrete commitment to all-round sustainability, both environmental and social, and will mark a crucial stage in the path pursued by Arcaplanet, which confirms its desire to combine economic growth and responsibility towards people and the environment, in order to be a point of reference for the entire pet food market.

In order to develop the focal points of what will be our product offering of the future, the Innovation and R&D teams have identified three fundamental pillars that will guide the development of our exclusive brand offering:

    The development of our formulas puts the enjoyment of our animal friends first. We continually strive to offer products that are always at the top in terms of palatability through a continuous process that creates a true food identity card, precisely identifying those features with further room for improvement and continuously testing new ingredients and technological solutions to develop ever more tasteful recipes.
  • A customised offer
    Every pet is unique, which is why we work to develop solutions that increasingly meet their specific needs. Our focus on creating foods with customised nutritional profiles is utmost, and our R&D team is constantly working to offer increasingly specific foods tailored to different needs. Whether it is a puppy, a senior, a pet with food sensitivities or with specific needs or diseases, we are committed to developing and offering the right nutritional response.
  • Every day a step forward for the environment
    Our environment deserves care and attention. Aware of this, we strive not only to maintain the top quality of our products, but also to minimise their environmental footprint and make them more sustainable day by day. The packaging of our products contributes to their environmental impact, which is why we are working on improving our overall offering. Most of our wet products are already made with recyclable packaging, and we will soon introduce sustainable packaging solutions in our dry product offering as well. Our aim is to gradually replace the packaging of exclusive brand ranges that still have standard packaging with recyclable packaging, and recycled and more sustainable materials.
