Pet Therapy
Science confirms it: a relationship with an animal can stimulate positive physical, cognitive, emotional, and social effects in different categories of people. From children to the elderly, from people with disabilities to psychiatric patients to prisoners.
Smiles and Cuddles: Pet Therapy for Children
Pet Therapy offers numerous benefits: it reduces anxiety and loneliness, improves mood, promotes socialization and self-esteem, stimulates the senses and motor skills, and slows cognitive decline.
In collaboration with Frida’s Friends Onlus, we support Pet Therapy activities at the Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Milan, implementing projects dedicated to children. Since April 2023, two association handlers and their dogs have been organizing three weekly sessions in the pediatric oncology ward, providing support to hospitalized children.
In 2024, thanks to Arcaplanet’s commitment, more than 2,395 children benefited from the program implemented by Frida’s Friends. In 2025, a further 2.475 children were reached, together with donations amounting to 42.000€ in support of the association.
In the first quarter of 2026, an additional 306 children had the opportunity to take part in Pet Therapy activities at the Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Milan.
Four-Legged Wellbeing: Pet Therapy Against Eating Disorders (ED)
Since 2024, Arcaplanet has also supported Frida’s Friends Onlus in initiatives with cats, dedicated to fighting eating disorders (ED).
In 2025, the project has helped support 11 people affected by ED, offering moments of emotional support and wellbeing through Pet Therapy.
