Dog Run Rome 2026: Over 450 Pet Parents and Dogs Take Part in Arcaplanet’s Unique Event
More than 450 participants joined the Dog Run Rome 2026, the pet-friendly event promoted and sponsored by Arcaplanet to celebrate the special bond between pets and their owners through sport, wellbeing and shared experiences. Held on October 17, the initiative brought together dogs and Pet Parents for a memorable day across some of Rome’s most iconic landmarks.
Running Through the Heart of Rome
The route started at the foot of the Colosseum, with the Arch of Constantine in the background, and continued through Piazza di Porta Capena and Viale delle Terme di Caracalla before finishing at the historic Nando Martellini Stadium. The event combined physical activity, social interaction and a passion for pets in one of the world’s most iconic urban settings.
Arcaplanet described the initiative as an example of a pet-friendly city experience, designed to encourage meaningful moments between people and their pets while strengthening local pet communities.
Promoting Animal Wellbeing and Responsible Adoption
Beyond the race itself, the event highlighted animal welfare through “A come Adozione” (“A for Adoption”), a project by Fondazione Arcaplanet aimed at promoting responsible adoption of dogs and cats living in shelters. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the initiative and the importance of informed adoption choices.
Support from Royal Canin and Pedigree Dentastix
The event also featured Mars ‘ brand Pedigree Dentastix and Royal Canin. Pedigree Dentastix raised awareness about canine oral hygiene and showcased its Dental Scanner for preliminary dental health assessments. Royal Canin focused on pet nutrition, providing educational materials and product samples tailored to pets’ nutritional needs throughout different life stages.
Growing Interest in Pet-Friendly Experiences
The success of Dog Run Rome 2026 demonstrates the growing demand for experiences that promote healthy, active lifestyles shared between pets and their owners. The strong turnout further reinforces Arcaplanet’s commitment to animal wellbeing and its role as a leading reference point for Italy’s pet-loving community.
