Arcaplanet unveils the new dog area dedicated to canine well‑being in the heart of Turin

The Pet Care leader supports the redevelopment of an urban space in one of Italy’s most pet‑friendly cities: a gesture of care towards the community and its bond with four‑legged companions

Arcaplanet promotes animal well‑being and enhances the Turin area through a major urban redevelopment project in the heart of the city. The Pet Care leader supported the restoration of the new municipal dog area in Corso Galileo Ferraris (located at the corner with Via Ottavio Revel, opposite civic number 18), officially inaugurated on Thursday, 12 February at 11:00 a.m.

The initiative is a virtuous example of collaboration aimed at protecting pets and enhancing shared public spaces. Through its partnership with the Municipality of Turin to return a renewed and well‑maintained area to citizens, Arcaplanet has given concrete form to its 360‑degree vision of animal well‑being.

A pet‑friendly city

Arcaplanet’s investment in this infrastructure responds to a unique local context within the national landscape. According to the latest Changes Unipol survey conducted by Ipsos, Turin is the most pet‑friendly city in Italy: 66% of residents live with a companion animal, and the city holds the national record for the number of dogs, present in 46% of households. For nearly all Turin pet owners (92%), having a pet is an essential part of emotional and domestic life.

The inauguration event was attended by Monica Gagliardi, Chief Customer Officer of Arcaplanet, together with Francesco Tresso, Councillor for City Care, Civil Protection and Civic Services of Turin, and Cristina Savio, President of District 1. “For Arcaplanet, contributing to the enhancement of this space means offering a concrete response to a community that deeply cares about the animal world,” said Monica Gagliardi. “We firmly believe that pet well‑being also depends on the quality of time spent outdoors. This is why we chose to support the redevelopment of an urban area, transforming it into a welcoming gathering place capable of improving the daily lives of the thousands of Turin families who share their lives with an animal”.

To mark this commitment, a plaque dedicated to Arcaplanet was installed in the new dog area. During the inauguration, participants were also offered practical kits containing water bottles and dog waste bags — small gestures aimed at promoting a culture of cleanliness and shared responsibility in public spaces.

The new dog area in Corso Galileo Ferraris thus becomes a symbol of a partnership that generates social value, placing the well‑being of the many four‑legged citizens of Turin at the center.
