The leadership transition supports the next phase of integration into Europe’s largest pet‑care retail group

Arcaplanet announces a major leadership change. Starting from October 2025, Nicolò Galante will step down as Chief Executive Officer (a role he has held since March 2022) passing the baton to Guillaume Seneclauze.

Galante has guided Arcaplanet through a phase of significant transformation and growth. Under his leadership, the store network expanded from 400 to over 600 locations, strengthening the company’s market leadership and developing a unique omnichannel model in Italy. This evolution was supported by the enhancement of e‑commerce, the launch of the mobile app and an advanced loyalty program, which increasingly integrated the physical and digital experience.

Torsten Toeller, founder and majority shareholder of the Fressnapf Group (which acquired Arcaplanet in December 2024), stated: “We thank Nicolò for his outstanding leadership and the remarkable transformation he has driven at Arcaplanet. He leaves behind a stronger, more innovative and future‑ready company. We wish him all the best in his next chapter”.

Galante added: “It has been a privilege to lead Arcaplanet through a journey of growth and transformation, driven by our customers, their pets and our commitment to constant innovation. I am grateful to Maxim Crewe and Matteo Corà of Cinven for choosing me in early 2022 and giving me this incredible opportunity. I also thank Torsten Toeller, our shareholders and board members, who have always respected Arcaplanet’s unique identity. Above all, I thank the fantastic management team and the many passionate colleagues who serve our customers every day with dedication. These achievements are theirs. I am confident that with Guillaume, whom I have known for many years, Arcaplanet will be in excellent hands to seize future opportunities, and I wish him and the company all the very best”.

After a transition period, Galante will leave the company by mutual agreement with the shareholders.

Guillaume Seneclauze

The new CEO, Guillaume Seneclauze, brings over twenty years of international experience in omnichannel retail, gained in senior roles at Carrefour and as CEO of Monoprix in France. With direct knowledge of the Italian market and a strong passion for animals, he will lead Arcaplanet into the next phase of its integration within Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo, Europe’s leading pet‑care group.
